Updates regarding the federal shutdown
At this time, most Recompete programs are still continuing during the government shutdown. Recompete is a federal grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), which could affect some of our programs if the shutdown continues much longer. Our hope is that this is only temporary, and when the government reopens we will be able to continue as planned. We will provide updates as needed.

Helping residents of Clallam & Jefferson Counties get the skills, support, and connections they need to land high-wage local jobs
The Recompete Pilot Program aims to reinvigorate the local economy and connect residents in the prime age employment group (ages 25-54) to good jobs in Clallam & Jefferson Counties.
We are a grant-funded coalition of local governments, non-profits, community organizations, educational institutions, tribes, and more who are working together to create new pathways to meaningful careers on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Job creation &
industry revitalization
Recompete funds are helping to revitalize the maritime and natural resources industries, which will create new career pathways and attract businesses to the area. These industries are the focus because they have a low barrier to entry, provide high wages and benefits, and are existing industries that maximize our geographic advantages.
